Help Ukrainian Families in Need: Hearts and Hands for Ukraine’s Fundraiser at the Kelowna Yacht Club

City councillor Mohini Singh is part of a grass-roots group called Hearts and Hands for Ukraine that is hosting a fundraiser at the Kelowna Yacht Club to help the continual stream of Ukrainian families arriving in the Central Okanagan. The aim of the event, titled Blue Jean, Burgers and Bevvies, is to raise enough money to provide Ukrainian families with basic necessities such as Pampers, undergarments, clothing and shoes. 80% of funds raised will go towards these families while 20% will be donated to Kelowna Community Resources’ programs for immigrants.

Tickets for the upcoming fundraiser are available for $40 each through Eventbrite, and include entry to the event, a burger or beer/wine option (depending on age) as well as access to live entertainment and a silent auction. The team aims to sell 500 tickets in order to reach their goal of raising approximately $60,000.

Show your support for local families who need it most by joining this amazing initiative; give back while having fun surrounded by fellow outdoor lovers!
