Volunteers Wanted for RSV Vaccine Study

Okanagan Clinical Trials (OCT) is looking for volunteers aged 19 and older to participate in a research study for a potential vaccine for the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). This study aims to find a prevention option for RSV in individuals who are at a high risk.

Okanagan Clinical Trials, a medical research company based in Kelowna, is currently conducting a study to evaluate the effectiveness of an RSV vaccine in high-risk participants, such as those with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), asthma, or similar conditions.

“Preventing RSV infection and its complications is essential for healthcare,” said Dr. Colleen Maytham, Principal Investigator for Okanagan Clinical Trials. Dr. Kim Christie, President of Okanagan Clinical Trials, also stated, “OCT is proud to participate in a study that aims to find an effective vaccine for respiratory syncytial virus in adults who are at high risk for complications.”

Participating in the study will have no impact on your provincial medical coverage, and all study-related costs will be covered by the sponsor. You are free to leave the study at any time.
