Small Fires Near Tulameen and Missezula Lake Threaten Recreational Communities

Two small fires have ignited near recreational communities in close proximity to Tulameen and Missezula Lake. According to the BC Wildfire service, both blazes are currently measuring at .01 hectares, or 100 square meters.

Earlier on Friday, BC Wildfire crews took to the air to tackle a fire near Mount Jackson, close to Tulameen. Later in the day, another fire was reported near Missezula Lake. The cause of these fires remains unknown at this time.

These incidents raise concerns about the safety of these recreational areas, and the potential impact on the local communities. As we continue to monitor the situation, it is important for residents and visitors to stay informed and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
