“Revelstoke Mountain Resort Postpones First Rail Jam of the Season”
Revelstoke Mountain Resort has decided to delay its highly-anticipated rail jam event, originally scheduled for Friday (Jan. 12), due to the cold weather and lack of snow at the base. Don’t worry, snow enthusiasts – the event has been rescheduled to Friday, Jan. 19!
Last season, Revelstoke Mountain Resort started hosting monthly rail jams, attracting a great crowd and showcasing some impressive talent. The rail jams took place near the lower gondola at the base of the mountain. However, with temperatures forecasted to be as low as -29°C, it would have been a freezing experience for both spectators and competitors. Additionally, the resort is experiencing a shortage of snow near the base, mainly due to lower than average snowfall this season.
Although there is hope for improved snow conditions in the next 48 hours, thanks to a snowfall warning from Environment Canada, the resort believes that postponing the rail jam to Jan. 19 will provide a better opportunity for favorable weather and ideal conditions.
Stay tuned for updates on the rescheduled rail jam event at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. We can’t wait to see the incredible skills and tricks from the participants once the weather and snow align perfectly for an unforgettable event!
