“Kyle Turris and Scott Gomez Bring NHL Star Power to BCHL Alumni Game in Penticton”

The BCHL Alumni Game in Penticton is gearing up for an exciting event on January 20. This year, hockey fans can look forward to seeing some familiar faces from the NHL, as Kyle Turris and Scott Gomez take to the ice.

Kyle Turris, who played for the Burnaby Express from 2005 to 2007, has had an impressive 14-year career in the NHL. And Scott Gomez, the NHL’s Rookie of the Year in 2000, brings his talent and experience to the game as well.

The outdoor game, which starts at 1 p.m., will feature current BCHL goalies Tyler Hodges from the Nanaimo Clippers and Penticton Vees’ Sharky Nowek.

But the star power doesn’t end there. Other notable players confirmed for the event include:

• Dave Babych – Former Vancouver Canucks defenseman, known for his role in the team’s run to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1994.
• Dave Tomlinson – A star player for the Summerland Buckaroos and Richmond Sockeyes, who later went on to play four seasons in the NHL.
• Dylan Playfair – A star in the hit TV show “Letterkenny” and a former player for the Merritt Centennials.
• Tyler Johnston – Another “Letterkenny” star showcasing his skills on the ice.
• Colton Gillies – A first-round pick of the Minnesota Wild, who played five seasons in the NHL.
• Neil Eisenhut – A former member of the Langley Eagles, Merritt Centennials, and Penticton Knights, who also played for the Canucks during the 1993-1994 season.
• Angus Redmond – Former Salmon Arm Silverbacks goaltender from 2013 to 2016.

With the city’s outdoor rink as the backdrop, this BCHL Alumni Game promises to be an exciting event for hockey enthusiasts in Penticton and the surrounding area. Don’t miss the chance to see these NHL stars in action as they come together for a friendly game of hockey.
