Unleashed Brewing Co. Presents: The Spooktacular Dog Parade Returns

The spooky season is upon us, and it’s not just for humans! Kelowna’s Unleashed Brewing Co. is set to celebrate Halloween in a unique way, hosting their second annual Spooktacular Dog Parade. This highly-anticipated event is scheduled for Sunday and promises to be a treat (and maybe some tricks!) from noon to 4 p.m.

Drawing inspiration from the overwhelming response to last year’s inaugural parade, which saw over 100 dogs and their enthusiastic owners in attendance, the brewery is eager to recreate the magic. Shantel Hordos, the co-owner of Unleashed Brewing, expressed immense excitement in a recent statement. She highlighted the event’s dual purpose: providing an entertaining experience and supporting a noble cause. “The Spooktacular Dog Parade isn’t just about fun, it’s about creating lasting memories and giving back to the community,” Hordos remarked.

Participants are encouraged to get creative with their canine’s costumes. A highlight of the event will be the doggie costume contest, where a panel of judges will be on the lookout for the most imaginative and spine-chilling outfits. After the contest, attendees can enjoy watching the dogs strut their stuff, parading around the block, showcasing their Halloween best to both participants and curious onlookers.

To add to the festive atmosphere, the event will feature a photo booth where proud dog owners can capture the moment with their decked-out furry friends. A small donation to the Paws It Forward charity will grant you access to this photo opportunity.

Paws It Forward Dog Rescue is a non-profit that undertakes the noble task of rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs from various parts of the world. These are dogs that have, unfortunately, faced neglect, abandonment, or even abuse. The registration fee for the parade, which is a charitable donation, goes directly to this organization, ensuring that more dogs find loving homes.

For those interested in joining this fun-filled event, registration is simple. Tickets can be secured via Eventbrite, and every cent from the registration will benefit Paws It Forward.

As the day approaches, the team at Unleashed Brewing Co. eagerly awaits the community’s support in making the Spooktacular Dog Parade a roaring success for the second year running.
